OUR CHARITY

Precious Butler is very passionate about helping anyone in need.

In 2019, Oklahoma demonstrated remarkable resilience in the face of a record-breaking number of tornadoes, including a tornado in El Reno that tragically took lives.

Precious Butler has always been devoted to empowering those in need, especially in times of crisis. In the aftermath of the 2019 and every other natural disasters in Oklahoma, Texas and in Africa, our charity mobilized quickly to provide immediate relief and long-term support to the affected areas and people.

Immediate Relief: A Swift Response

Precious Butler worked with United Rise Foundation together to setting up temporary shelters, providing a safe Place for displaced families and individuals.

  • Food and Water Distribution: Recognizing the urgent need for sustenance, we coordinated food and water distribution points to ensure no one went hungry or thirsty in the aftermath of the storm. We also went door-to-door in affected neighborhoods, delivering meals directly to those unable to reach distribution centers.
  • Medical Aid: We provided medical assistance, offering first aid and connecting victims with health professionals to treat injuries sustained during the tornado.

Rebuilding Lives: Long-Term Support

While immediate relief was critical, the road to recovery was just beginning. The tornado left lasting scars on the community—homes were reduced to rubble, schools and businesses were destroyed, and many lives were upended. But Precious Butler was determined to help rebuild, both physically and emotionally.

Our long-term initiatives included:

  • Home Reconstruction: With the help of generous donors and volunteers, we organized rebuilding efforts, restoring homes for families who had lost everything. We focused on providing not just shelter, but safe and comfortable living spaces for those who had suffered so much.
  • Mental Health Support: We recognized that recovery is not just physical—it’s emotional too. Precious Butler provided counseling services, therapy sessions, and support groups to help individuals cope with trauma, loss, and the overwhelming stress of rebuilding their lives.
  • Financial Assistance: Many people found themselves unable to return to work or pay for essential services. We provided financial aid to help cover expenses like rent, utilities, and medical bills, giving people the time they needed to regain their footing.
  • Job Training and Employment Assistance: To help families become self-sufficient again, we offered job training programs and assisted with job placement in industries impacted by the tornado.

Community and Hope

Throughout all of this, the most powerful resource we had was the strength of the community. Volunteers came from all over, donating their time, skills, and resources to help those in need. The tornado may have left destruction in its wake, but it also brought people together in ways that have left a lasting impact on the fabric of Florida’s communities.

Thanks to the support of generous donors, dedicated volunteers, and the unwavering spirit of Floridians, Precious Butler continues to serve as a source of hope and recovery. Though the tornado may have caused immense damage, it also showed the power of resilience, compassion, and the determination to rebuild.

Moving Forward

The 2019 tornado in Florida was a tragedy that no one should have to endure, but it also highlighted the incredible strength of individuals and communities when they come together in times of need. Precious Butler remains committed to helping Floridians rebuild, recover, and thrive, no matter what challenges lie ahead.

Together, we will continue to turn adversity into opportunity and rebuild not just homes, but lives.
